Conrad Willems draws inspiration from the processes of construction, deconstruction and reconstruction. He examines the relationship between modular forms and sustainability and draws parallels between the principles of play and the structuring mechanisms of societies. In doing so, he emphasises their fundamental role in human evolution. With his sculptures, he asks questions about how systems evolve, disintegrate and reassemble themselves in an infinite cycle.
During the opening on 19 July, he presents an immersive performance in which the sculptural elements are transformed live. This reveals the fragile balance between order and chaos, architecture and movement.
